CLASSROOM POLICY
Students will work with the teacher to create a class Constitution that will be the backbone of our classroom rules and the basis of the behavior plan.
Parents will receive a copy of this Constitution after it is created. The Action Behavior Plan will focus on the ideas created in the Constitution.
ACTION BEHAVIOR
PLAN
Students will start every day with a green card.
When a student’s action becomes disruptive or is a distraction, the card will be turned to yellow.
This is a warning and allows an opportunity
for correction.
If the action is not corrected and continues, the card will be turned red.
Any student with a red card will write their name on the board and must come in for recess.
RESPONSIVE ACTION- Red Card
1st Offense: Loss of recess/teacher discussion
2nd Offense: Loss of recess/Letter home
Student will fill out behavior form describing the causing behavior and then respond with ideas or positive choices on how to fix or eliminate that behavior.
A copy will be brought home, signed by a parent, and returned the next day. Failure to return the form will result in a call home.
3rd Offense: Loss of recess/call home/office visit
POSITIVE REENFORCEMENT
Students also have the opportunity to have the card turned to a double green.
This results with actions and behaviors that go above and beyond expectation.
Options:
Tickets/Lunch with and by teacher/call home/positive office visit
